Early development: Landmate is in early development. It is not yet available to the public, and rental-management features such as properties, units, leases, maintenance and rent are planned but not built yet.

Account security

In development

Signing in, multi-factor authentication, sessions and the fresh sign-in check before sensitive changes.

This document describes the platform foundation under development. Details may change before launch.

Signing in

You sign in to Landmate with your email address and password. Each person has their own account; accounts are never shared between people.

Multi-factor authentication

You can protect your account with a second factor in addition to your password. Turning it on, changing it or turning it off requires a fresh sign-in.

Sessions

You can see the devices and browsers where you are signed in, and sign any of them out. Signing a session out ends it on its next request.

Fresh sign-in before sensitive changes

Some actions are sensitive enough that Landmate asks you to confirm your password or second factor first, if you have not done so in the last 10 minutes. They include:

  • changing your password or second factor;
  • exporting or deleting your account;
  • changing a member's role or removing a member;
  • managing billing, API keys or integrations;
  • exporting or deleting a workspace.

Audit log

Administrative actions in a workspace are recorded in an audit log that Owners and Managers can read. Actions taken by Landmate support staff are recorded there too (see Roles and permissions).

If something looks wrong

If you see a session you do not recognize, sign it out and change your password. Until the app is available, you can reach us through the contact page.
